Plates and an entry makeover!

I had never thought to hang plates on the wall, but now I am hooked!
I LOVE it!
I have been gathering beautiful transferware, ironstone and other plates from yard/estate sales and thrifting.
I didn't like seeing the plate hangers while they were on the wall.

Sooo I decided to use a little hot glue and ribbon.
If you decide not to use them on the wall anymore the hot glue just peels right off.

I found this awesome Bordallo Pinheiro plate from my favorite consignment store for $2.
(((ignore the nail holes haha)))

I put it above a picture of my favorite little boy, it was taken when we went back home to Texas last spring in the bluebonnets.

Here is everything together.
I think it looks nice....for now LOL

I picked up the silver bowl thing from the same consignment store today.
I'm not sure if I like it better or the other thing I had the artichoke on.

I just bought the fleur de lis metal door topper off ebay.
I'm thinking of hanging it over the front door to finish off this area.

Hope ya'll have a good weekend.
We are going to look at more cars this weekend.
We still haven't completely decided on what we want yet.
If anyone has any opinions a few of the ones we are looking at are:
GMC Acadia
Ford Explorer
Tomorrow we're going to the JEEP dealership.
(as long as its not raining..pfft)
I want to see the Liberty, Cherokee Laredo and something else I liked.
I am soooo feeling the JEEPS.

My posts seem to get lost. Your entrance is really pretty. Pops said to tell you that you are getting to be a good writer as well as a good decorator. I will take you to Sam Moons when you get here. Your bargains are amazing.....looking good girl.

Remember gas efficiency....an SUV type could be perfect for you guys.....Hyndai has a good one. Jeeps could offer SUV type travel too. Good luck.....we are still looking. Pops wants to keep Pap's truck along with the new one, but that isn't going to happen.....He can drive the old truck until it just rusts away....

That is a wonderful vignette and plate, Michelle. Thanks for making my party your first one. You will need to learn how to add a link or my button to your post.
