I can't believe I haven't blogged since December! My husband has been home from Afghanistan for a couple months now and we have just been spending time together. I didn't want to come back to blogging until he was back at work.
While my husband was deployed I made some changes to our bedroom. I didn't take any before pictures because I hadn't really done anything to our room.

My side of the bed
I still haven't decided on what to do with the drapes.
It needs to be dark in our room during the day when hubby is on mids and sleeps during the day.
Any thoughts?
I spy a kitty napping.
Our cats Kitty is the fluffy one and Bella is the little pregnant one.
We are expecting kitties any day now!
(We got Kitty fixed a couple weeks ago, after we realized Bella was pregnant)
I must say I LOVE our bedroom now, it is so cozy!
I am still trying to figure out how to accessorize my dresser and hubby's side of the bed.
Also what to do with the curtains and I would LOVE to paint our walls.
It feels good to be back!
I'll share all the details in a couple days.
Looking forward to visiting all of you.
Michele

So nice to see you back blogging! I love your bedroom. It's fabulous. Red is one of my favorite colors. You have inspired me to maybe pull it in to the bedroom, something I've wavered on. Glad you were able to spend some quality time with the hubby. Give him my thanks for serving our country.
Welcome back to blog world..lol
I love your bedroom!!!
Many thanks to your husband for serving our country!!!
Welcome Back (and welcome home to your hubby, too ... please thank him for what he does for our country)! Your bedroom is beautiful ... so warm and inviting. Love the pops of red and your "Bonne Nuit" pillow!
It's looking good! I like it a lot. Would fabric roman shades work for your windows? With light blocking fabric as the lining??
Michele, glad to see you back! I've missed your posts! Love what you've done with your bedroom! Red is one of my favorite colors for decorating! Your bedroom looks so warm and inviting!
So pretty! That is definitely my kind of bedroom. I have coveted that gorgeous Waverly print for years now, and it looks so perfect with the plaid and CL toile. I'll be back to see how your kitties are doing :)
Cheers, Andrea
Welcome back! Love your room!
Welcome back stranger....it is nice to see you back blogging again! Must say your bedroom is stunning, love it. Diane
love it. Maybe drapes the same pattern as bedding or the black and white checkered like your accessories or mix them up. if u go on" Beyond the screen door "blog she does some great mixtures of drapes.
Hello Michele! Hooray!
I'm so glad to see you back blogging. I wondered how you were doing.
Congrats to your hubby on being home! I certainly know how it feels. My sincere thanks go out to the both of you for all of your sacrifices.
Your bedroom is gorgeous! The reds looks great with the white. All of the pillows are my favorite. I had the same issue with drapes. I bought a light color and ended up having to switch to steel blue to block out light. I know that is important.
Welcome back! ~Melissa :)
Hi I am a brand new blogger and an ARMY wife too! My husband will be deploying in June. Glad I found your blog! We just bought our forever home, my husbands retires in 2014. I so remember living in military housing, however yours looks pretty nice to what we lived in! I guess that is the difference between Air Force and Army!!! Love the bedroom!

Yay, welcome back! I was just thinking about you other day. Glad your hubby is home safe and sound! Your room is beautiful. I love the color palette. I really like the pillows, and the cats, too! =) xo ~Liz
Love your bedroom! It is very charming and your Euro Shams are to die for.
I love your furniture, Michele! I love the way you've dressed your bed, too. You could buy something with blackout lining or just get some at Joann's or a fabric store and add it to some drapes. Good to see you again! : )
Michele, How wonderful that your husband is home. The bedroom is beautiful! You can add black-out liners to any curtains, they are inexpensive and go right on the same rings as the curtains.
Your bedroom looks great Michele! I love the red accents and the floral prints setting on the headboard. Very charming and cozy!
Welcome back to blogland!
Just gorgeous, Michele! I love all of the layers of softness, makes the room so cozy. You have done a wonderful job!!
Hi Michele~
Welcome back, sweetie!
Yes, please thank your husband for ALL of us.
My friend's husband who is a doctor is in Afghanistan right now in the mountains at a camp. It's so hard on my friend but especially her three children who miss their father desperately. The sacrifices you all make to protect our country..... amazing.
I am eternally grateful.
Your master bedroom looks amazing! Love the toile with the checkered pillows. Not sure what to tell you on the drapery except I might make some panels in one of the red patterns you have used and then have some room darkening shades installed to pull down when your husband needs total darkness for sleep!?
Just a thought!?

Oh Michelle.....I LOVE your bedroom decor! The bedding with the Bonne Nuit pillow is gorgeous. The checked rug and chair at the foot of the bed is perfect. I like your black bedroom furniture too. GREAT JOB! You can get some "black out" blinds for your windows. Then raise them when you don't them. That way you can hang whatever drapes you want.
Beautiful room, Michelle. Love your bed and of course of love the bedding. So glad you have been spending time with hubby. We appreciate his service and what both of y'all sacrifice.
Your bedroom looks great!! I have the bonne nuit pillow on our bed too. How great that you have been able to spend time with your hubby and that is better than blogging anyday. So glad you're back!

LOVE your bedroom! Every single thing in it! And love that we have the same fabrics! :) Just wanted to let you know there are cellular shades on Overstock that are "room darkening" and they REALLY are, my sister has them (has tons of windows in her bedroom) and I'm amazed how dark they make the room. But they go completely up top when you don't want to see them! They are available in white and ivory and a few other colors. I have them in some of my bedrooms, but not the room darkening and now I wish I did get those!
