We've decided on a vehicle!

I think...LOL
We both like the GMC Acadia.
We both test drove it as well and love the way it drives.
Jonathan loves it also!
I love the inside.
Three rows of seating.
The middle row has two bucket seats.
Sunroofs.

We are talking with a guy about getting one with the things we're looking for.
We want black!
Sunroof.
TV/DVD in the back for the kids.
We'd like one with a GPS, but we're flexible on that since hubby got me one for Christmas.
and lastly cloth!  Everyone we have found is leather.

What ya'll think?
I told hubby I could pimp this...hahaha
(excuse my humor)

Estate Finds!

We were able to go to the Estate sale Saturday and it was crazy.
People shoving, running for things...I have been to many sales and have never seen anyone behave the way these people have.
I am happy to say that the things I had my eye on I got!
For one I had been eyeing the pictures of the sale for like a week and I saw a Julia Child cookbook that I wanted...badly! :) I LOVE cookbooks.
Well I got it. yayyy!
Along with some others.
The Joy of Cooking is from the 50s.
I paid $1 for each book.
(Hubby got more books as well, but they're in the garage)

I also got this tablecloth (well I think its a tablecloth)
I liked the colors and the design. Anyone know anything about this?
The silver pieces I paid $2-4.

My favorite find is this Arthur Court bunny tray thing from a yard sale on the way to the Estate sale.
I paid $10 for it. More than I would usually spend but I found it on ebay for $130.
I think the bunnies are so adorable.

More finds not pictured are :
Strawberry Shortcake metal tray for my girl
a few picture frames
a large enamelware pan (we're going to use to plant flowers)
a vintage pin the tale on the donkey game (the coolest)

The weather is going to be beautiful this weekend. I'm really looking forward to it.
There is a small estate sale in our little area that I'm going to check out.
I'm on the hunt for an old sewing table. I'd like to display it in the hall upstairs.

In other news we are having company the first week of March!
Reagan is going to LOVE it.
Our families live in Texas so we don't see them often.
Reagan remembers her Mimi and Pops each time they come though, its so cute.
My hubby's parents will be our visitors.
I hope the weather is nice while they're here.

Happy Thursday!!

I've got a sick baby and a new door topper!

For the past few days I've been dealing with a sick little girl.
It is so sad watching her with red eyes, sneezing and coughing.
I've even cried a little when I'm starring at her.
She is still just as happy and crazy as she normally is though.
Nothing gets that girl down, she is just like her mommy!

We went to the Estate sale on Saturday as well as a yard sale on the way.
We also got car shopping out of the way and I think we've made a decision.

I got my door topper in the mail the other day.
I know  ya'll are probably getting tired of pictures of this spot and I promise this will be the last....unless I change it LOL

I think it works perfectly in this space!

I've been so busy taking care of my munchkin I haven't been able to catch up on any blogs.
I'll try to do that during nap time.

It has been getting warmer here each day by friday its supposed to be 75.
We'll probably visit the dealership again and we're going to play around in the backyard.
Getting my pots ready and maybe get the trampolene up!
Reagan is going to have a blast jumping on it. (So is mommy!)

See  ya'll tomorrow for my finds!
Have a great day!

Thrifty Thursdays!

Its that time again!
We went to an estate sale last weekend and I got a few things.
I'm not feeling too well so I'll just post the pictures.

Turkey platter was $14. (Hallmark says it is ironstone)
When we got home I saw that my turkey plates go well with it!
Silver picture was $6. I think I'll add flowers to it.
Silver butter dish was .50. (from another sale)
My favorite find was the nativity set which was $8.
I've been on the hunt for one that I liked and I LOVE this one.
All I need is to find a manger.

Below are my finds from my favorite consignment shop last Friday.
I spent $13 total.
The cabbage leaf plate and silver bowl have been shown already.
I got two leopard print hand towels for $3. They still had the tags on :)

This couple I thought was so French looking.
There is a hallmark on the bottom but can't remember now what it was.
They cost me $1 each.

I thought the little girl with the bunny was cute.
She will look adorable out for Easter or possibly year round?
She also has a hallmark I believe.
She also cost $1.

So thats it.
If I'm feeling well we are going to a HUGE estate sale this weekend.
It looks and sounds like its going to be awesome.
I'm going to try to con Reagan into laying on the couch with me.
I've got a horrible migraine or I'm getting sick? I'm not sure yet.
Bleh!
Hope you all have a good Thursday!

I'm linking with A LA CARTE'S Junkin Fridays!
Check out all the neat finds!

Gallery wall

Happy Tuesday ya'll!
I really wanted to get these pictures up Sunday night but my camera went MIA!
I just found it this afternoon. Justin and I have been searching everywhere for it.
We thought mini me took it, she likes to take pictures and it found with it often.
We were looking in all her usual spots.
Then....when I woke up this morning I saw something sitting on my dresser.
Yep, you guessed it. "I" misplaced that darn camera.
So ok back to the project I have been wanting to get done for the past 3 years.
It is still not done. I ran out of frames and I need to get some pictures for most of the frames.
Have a looksy
I think it looks so much better.
I really wish we painted when we first moved in.
Now we're at 3 years living here and I'm afraid to paint and we'll get orders to move LOL
So I'll just deal with this until we do move.

I have two baskets at the bottom of the stairs.
One for Jonathan and one for Reagan.
When there is stuff in it it goes upstairs and put where it belongs.
Obviously I put up Reagan's haha

A view going downstairs.
That little pink thing on the wall is one of my favorite pictures of my baby girl.
Beautiful!

I'll get around to get some more frames soon and filling them with pictures.

I think I should add more plates for some color, not sure.
What do you think ?

Busy Sunday!

Whew! I took a mini break from what I've been doing to order pizza for dinner.
We have had a really nice weekend.
We went to a couple estate sales yesterday and went out to lunch.
We weren't able to look at jeeps cause it was raining all day yesterday.
Oh well, hopefully next weekend.
Today has been so perfect outside.
We have got so much done around here.
It feels really good accomplishing stuff.
I've been really lazy this winter and I love when the weather is nice, it puts me in a great mood to do things around here.
Hubby cleaned out the car.
While I did some housework.
I wiped down all the doors and doorknobs.
Cleaned the stairs and wiped down the walls
and have almost completed a project I just started.
I have been wanting to do this for the past 3 years we have lived here and never got around to it.
It was even on my list of things to do before Reagan was born....she is 2. LOL
Now that I am almost done I can't believe I waited so long.
I think it looks GREAT and it has made a huge difference in the way the house looks.
Even better it was absolutely FREE! Everything I used were things I had around the house.
I'm going to finish it up and try to get pictures tonight.
Peace out!

and......Go Green Bay!

Plates and an entry makeover!

I had never thought to hang plates on the wall, but now I am hooked!
I LOVE it!
I have been gathering beautiful transferware, ironstone and other plates from yard/estate sales and thrifting.
I didn't like seeing the plate hangers while they were on the wall.

Sooo I decided to use a little hot glue and ribbon.
If you decide not to use them on the wall anymore the hot glue just peels right off.

I found this awesome Bordallo Pinheiro plate from my favorite consignment store for $2.
(((ignore the nail holes haha)))

I put it above a picture of my favorite little boy, it was taken when we went back home to Texas last spring in the bluebonnets.

Here is everything together.
I think it looks nice....for now LOL

I picked up the silver bowl thing from the same consignment store today.
I'm not sure if I like it better or the other thing I had the artichoke on.

I just bought the fleur de lis metal door topper off ebay.
I'm thinking of hanging it over the front door to finish off this area.

Hope ya'll have a good weekend.
We are going to look at more cars this weekend.
We still haven't completely decided on what we want yet.
If anyone has any opinions a few of the ones we are looking at are:
GMC Acadia
Ford Explorer
Tomorrow we're going to the JEEP dealership.
(as long as its not raining..pfft)
I want to see the Liberty, Cherokee Laredo and something else I liked.
I am soooo feeling the JEEPS.
