Gingerbread Kitchen Christmas tree

Hey y'all.
Since we're not going to be here for Christmas this year I did minimal decorating.
Only decorating the kitchen a small bit.
I didn't want to lug the huge artificial tree from the attic, so I just used one of the kid's 3 footers that I usually put in their bedrooms and placed it on the kitchen bar.
Please excuse the sun.

I added red and white checked mesh to certain spots.

Love the mixer ornament! (Target)
Snowflake with cutter ornament from Cracker Barrel.

The gingerbread house is my FAVORITE ornament, I bought two but wish I bought more.
(Cracker Barrel)

Red and white candy striped ones came from Target a few years ago, wish I could find more of these.
I mixed them up with some vintage red ornaments.

My topper.
I cannot make a pretty bow to save my life LOL
I found these candy cane picks from Carolina Pottery, they are awesome!

My tree skirt is a vintage french towel.

Another view.

I have become obsessed with gingerbread over the past few years.
I bought most of them at Cracker Barrel, Target and at Kmart last year on clearance.
I definitely want to hit up CB, they have so many great gingerbread themed items.

Well I'll share the rest of my minimally decorated kitchen soon.
Have a good night!
Michele

How cute Michele! I love getting ornaments from Cracker Barrel..half of mine are from there as well lol. I put up a small tree upstairs for the kids and it's mainly snow men. It's always fun to do a themed tree.

Michele- That tree is just darling. I don't blame you for not dragging the big one out if you are going to be gone. What you did is just beautiful. I love how cheery it is. xo Diana

Michele, that gingerbread house ornament is my fave this year at Cracker Barrel too! My mothr in law just started working their so I didn't want to buy them for myself since she is always asking what I want for Christmas...I am hoping she puts a couple of them in my stocking! Your little tree is super cute.

That is trhe cutest kitchen tree! You know you could buy some red glass balls and paint a white swirl and then glitter while wet-I bet they would look as good as your bought red and white ornaments.

Michele -- I LOVE your sweet kitchen tree. You have some really wonderful ornaments - wish we had a Cracker Barrel near. I have been obsessed with gingerbread for probably 20 years, lol and my kitchen is always all decked out gingerbread ;)

Michele, Your little kitchen tree is adorable! Isn't a gingerbread theme so appropriate for a kitchen? Are your Cracker Barrel ornaments a recent purchase? I haven't bought any new stuff for a while, but could always add to my collection! Wanted to tell you I love that Betty Crocker Cookie Book. I ordered it when I worked in the school library in the 6th grade. And that was a LONG time ago~ LOL Oh, and I love your tree topper, too! :-) Sue

Love your tree Michele, I didn;t get my Kitchen tree up until 2 days ago so I didn't have it in the party hop but our trees need to marry as we would have a great mix, lol. Guess I best be on the hunt for the mixer and some gingerbread men and houses for next year. Merry Christmas, yours is one of my favorites! XO Marilou
