Vintage scales and opinions

Hi y'all, I hope you're having a good Saturday.
I've been cleaning and starting a new project.
In the mean time Becca over at Adventures in decorating threatened  inspired me to dig my vintage scales out of the garage.

They've been sitting there because I have no where to display them yet.
So I tried one on my little table.

Then I tried another one.

Then I thought what the heck I'll put them up here on these shelves that I despise.
Seriously folks I don't like these shelves.
I do not know what to do with them.

Oops, don't mind the dirty dishes in the sink.

I got the top two from yard sales and reddish one from goodwill.

Still loving my pure butter slab, money well spent!!!

Another shot....

If I zoom out a little there is Kitty!
He is a camera hog. lol

I just don't know.
I liked it at first and now I don't LOL.
I LOVE the red scale. Maybe just one on a shelf?
but what on the others.

HELP!!!!!!!!

First off I love your kitchen, you have did such a fantastic job on it! I would use just two scales on the shelves, a red and white one on the first shelf and the last! Maybe find an awesome faux plant to use in the middle...just an idea!

I liked having one on the table. Where did you find all these scales?

Oh, you're so lucky to have this dilemma! I think I'd put two of them on your shelves, and one on your table. Put a rooster on the shelf between the two scales.

How lucky you found three great scales! The red one is great. I like maybe one or two on the shelves. Although since you have three it would be cute to group them altogether somewhere....

I have that very same red one Michele. I liked it on the little table with the cookbooks. They are all fabulous. You could keep one in the middle one on the counter and one on the table. You have a great collection.

The scales are adorable even though you hate the shelves they are a great use of that space.

Maybe two on the kitchen shelves with something different on the middle shelf? Just saying that because I love that red one left on that table. I have three shelves sort of like that in my kitchen, but they are at the end of the cabinets, not by the windows. I just put random stuff on them and change them up all the time (basically because I don't like them either).

I love them, Michele...really cute.
I like them on the shelves..I'd like one on the bottom shelf and a darling little fern on the middle...
the one is cute on the table..heck, I think they are gonna be darling no matter how you use them.
I am in DEEP covet mode over the PURE BUTTER PLATTER...HEAVY SIGH.....

I loved the red scale on the table in front of that painting. It just popped there.

I love the scales! They definitely needed to come in from the garage.

LOVE the red one placed on the table above your cookbooks...it all goes together and the scale (no pun intended) of things works well. I think they're a wee bit big for the shelves....though I like the symmetry of three like objects being there. Just my opinion.

Regardless of what we all say, put them where YOU like them. They are adorable and such wonderful, and useful, decorative object for the kitchen. Wish that red one were at my house! ;-)

Your kitchen is cute!

I just went and read the other comments...I like to put my own before letting others sometimes influence mine. I see most everyone really likes the scale on the table.

And whoever said they needed to come in from the garage...I DEFINITELY agree. Most of us would love to have one of these!

Have a nice day,

Nancy

Hi Michele and oh, my goodness! Look at all of the scales you have! I'd like just one! You may not like those little shelves but your scales look great up there! I really like your kitchen, your Rooster lamp, that little table and butter slab plate! Oh, just give me a scales! :)
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

LOL ... I'm so glad my blatant threat worked! :)

Awesome scales! I LOVE the red one on the table ... works perfectly with the reds in the print and even your cookbooks down below. Maybe try just one on the shelf above the sink.

I like the red scale on the table- goes well w/the rooster lamp and cookbooks. I think that they are a bit too large to place on the small shelves. I have two sets of those suckers over my sink and I have to use smaller items on them to achieve the right "scale. " No pun intended! LOL What about placing the others on top of your fridge in a vignette? I keep one of mine up there. Have fun playing. :-)

Michele,
I love your scales, especially the red one! I have a collection also, just got a grey and green one this weekend! I agree with Jane at Cottage at the CRs, a rooster on the middle shelf would be so cute! I like the red scale on the table also, I'd like the painting just a little higher so its not quite so hidden behind the lamp and scale, just a thought! It will look great whatever you decide!

I love your scale collection! I only have one old black one. I love it though. I placed mine on my counter in my kitchen. I liked the way your red one looked on that little table with the cookbooks. you could put one there and then another one on your shelf and some greenery on the other shelves. There are so many places you could use them. you could even place one on your counter top with something sitting on top of your scale!
