Some exciting news!!!!

So as you may have noticed I haven't been blogging in some time.
Things have been super busy in our home. My husband recently got orders to a most wonderful place!

That's right...England!!!!!!
His report date is November.
Unfortunately after much discussion the kids and I have decided not to accompany him. It was an extremely difficult decision.
Having to share custody of my son with my ex-husband the best thing for us is to move back home.

We will plan a vacation there to visit him and tour the beautiful countries as well as a much dreamed about trip to France!
We have been super busy here going through rooms, the attic and garage just donating and throwing out stuff. It feels incredible!

I did manage to squeeze in a couple projects.

I stenciled this galvanized pail before we left for vacation in June. I love the way it turned out.

Lastly, I have been wanting a grainsack lamp shade for ever! Since I haven't been able to find one that I love at a reasonable cost, I grabbed my craft paint and made my own version.

Please excuse the poor quality of photo I just snapped it with my cellphone in a hurry.

I hope you will please excuse my blogging absence while we prepare for the move.
I will still find the time to stalk your blogs ;)
Hope you all are having a great summer!

What a lot of changes you all have going on! How exciting for you! Aaron was in England for about a year, sadly we didn't get to visit.
You will have a blast when you go.
Another blogger friend of mine who lived here in town just moved to London England with her family, you might want to check her out, she's under my favorites, the wanderblogger. Her name is Sarah she's about your age and really great. If you get a chance to make contact with her, I'd think you'd really like her.
Keep us posted, good luck on your move!

I hate to hear that you'll be seperated from your husband for such a long time though! I wonder if he'll come back talking like a "Brit"! LOL! Good luck on your move. Btw, what military is your husband with? My oldest son is going into the Marine Reserves this Fall.

I am sorry to hear that you will be away from your sweet hubbie, but totally understand why you made the decision. How fun that you will get to visit and maybe even see France! I wish you all the best!

I stumbled upon your blog via another blog. First of all, I love your style and secondly I hope you start blogging again. You remind me of myself 20 years ago. At that time I was married to a Marine, still married he's just not a marine anymore. I always tried to make our house a home, as you do too. We lived many places and finally have our dream home, a Federal circa 1856 historic home. I hope you continue to blog! I enjoyed reading your posts!
