I know you're probably tired of seeing this room but what I was planning to post didn't work out because it's been raining outside.
A couple weeks ago I was playing in my room and thought I'd change up the vignette on my nightstand.
Below is the before:
After:
I propped the toile tray against the wall instead of placing books on it. I thought it is much prettier to look at.
Replaced the Mackenzie Child's pitcher for a more natural vase.
I bought a cheap votive candle holder from walmart and with my trusty glue gun wrapped jute webbing around it. I made a few more also.
We had another dresser on this side of the room but I decided to try this vintage French hamper like basket as a nightstand. I'm still searching for an alabaster lamp.
I'm contemplating stenciling some numbers on it....
I bought a seagrass rug for the end of the bed but not too sure if I like it yet. Maybe once I replace the chairs at the end of the bed.
I hope all of you had a great weekend, ours was full of fun!!! I will share before the end of the week, plus a quick cute project I did yesterday morning...it took longer for me to take everything out then to actually do it! LOL
We are leaving for Houston in 5 days and I can't wait to see my son and bring him back home!!!

I'm LOVING your design choices! The cozy country theme throughout your house is so heart-warming.
Hi Michele,
Sometimes, in the world of blogging, the weather has other plans for us - cancelled plans!:( But, the good thing is that we are forced to be spontaneous, (just realized that's an oxymoron!) and great things happen! Very cozy little corner; love the green tray!

I love the changes you made to your already pretty bedroom! I particularly like the wicker hamper used as a night stand. I think stenciled numbers would look fantastic on it!! If you're looking for another alabaster lamp, I would suggest going to Etsy.com. Type in "alabaster lamp" in the search section. A ton of them come up in different sizes and prices! I'm sure you will be able to find something you like there.
Thank you, I am an etsy shopper...my favorite place to find antiques. I am waiting for my trip to Houston to see if I come across one without paying shipping.
Michele- It looks really, really nice. You do a wonderful job pulling things together- xo Diana

The addition of the basket and the floral tray put a summery spin on your side table. So pretty!
Such a wonderful vignette! I adore that lamp.
Your bedroom looks so beautiful! I think the basket would look great with numbers stenciled on it!
Very nice! You have a beautiful bedroom.

So pretty~ love the changes! Thanks for linking up at Feathered Nest Friday!!
I love your new vignette. I'm a big fan of tole painted trays and never tire of seeing the various ways that people display them. Great idea to lean it against the wall instead of lying it flat.
I love your style! I would have never thought of using a hamper for a bedside table.. very creative! Your bedroom is very serene and calming :)
