I'm 30...

It isn't soooo bad turning 30. I was under the impression that my world would change for some reason, but the truth is I feel good. I have a wonderful family that loves me and I love greatly and I am in pretty good health so to speak. I have so many things to be thankful for and one of them is having another birthday.

My sister Crystal flew in from Texas for a week while Justin was TDY in Utah.
My sister's birthday is the day before mine and we have always shared our birthday's together (not always by choice hahaha) when we were younger we always shared birthdays and to be honest I didn't like it one bit. Always having to share and never having my "own day"  but it was nice spending it together this year even if it was few days early.

We went to soooo many places and guess what, I didn't bring my camera. Shame on me!!!

We went to the outlets in Smithfield and I bought a Coach wallet and Reagan some pajamas and dresses from Carter's. We LOVE pjs in this house.
On another day I took her to the little town of Selma to go antiquing and have lunch at the Hula girl or something like that. Their milkshakes are yummy!
I came away with one treasure from that outing. This beautiful framed needlepoint for $24. I just loved the green in it with the gold frame.
I apologize about the glare, but hey if you look closely you can see the reflection of a recent goodwill find. LOL

We had a day specially planned for Reagan we took her to a pottery painting place in town and she painted a kitty. We also went to New Bern to an ice cream shop full of cow stuff (I can't remember the name) but there were cows everywhere. Afterwards we went across to the water and watched the ducks and walked around.

On her last day here we spent all day in Raleigh shopping. I got a bunch of cute shirts, an Eiffel tower charm for my Pandora bracelet and a pair of madden girl boots (from tj maxx) We had dinner at the Cheesecake Factory and my dinner was delicious. We also made a trip to the Disney store for my girl and pre ordered Cinderella. Which comes out October 2nd and she got a little stuffed Cinderella doll.
As much as I wanted to stay up and chat most nights I was so exhausted from walking around all day I'd pass out on the couch!

My Birthday which was the 23rd was a quiet one. We had dinner at home and hubby ordered a yummy cake. I did go out and cut my hair though......what ya think?

Please excuse the poor quality pics. I certainly am no photographer...especially with my phone haha!

It is growing on me...I really disliked it the first couple days. I'll be back soon to share where my "new" old lamp is and several finds that I haven't shared in months!
Sorry for rambling lol

Wishing you all a happy night!

I totally suck at blogging. I've gotten so many cute things this summer and I haven't posted anything.

Did you hear about the blogging conference in Raleigh? Aren't you near there?

Well happy birthday! 30 is a great year! As your newest follower, I can say, I love your style. Your dining room is adorable and I can see we share similar tastes. Keep dreaming of a farmhouse--it will come, I just know it. May your 30th year be one of continued health and farmhouse dreams! ~Delores

Happy belated Birthday! Sounds like you had a fantastic celebration. That's my favorite kind, eating and shopping. I really love your haircut. I like simple straight styles like that. You have a pretty face and don't need all of the layers etc. that some people do to be "chic". ha! Can't wait to see all your new treasures!

Happy Birthday, Michele! You look beautiful with your new haircut. I will be 49 in October. I'll talk to you at that point about how I feel knowing that in one more year I'll be 50, and still feeling like I'm 30! It sounds like you had a great time while your sister was visiting. It also looks like someone else conked out after all that activity!
