Busy with blueberries

Please excuse me from being MIA, Justin is graduating from ALS (Airman leadership school) in two weeks and I have been busy playing dress up. Luckily my friend Jennifer (also my neighbor) and I went to Raleigh last weekend and found dresses at our first stop!  Her husband got promoted the same time mine did and they ended up in the same leadership class. Anywho I have been playing with my hair and makeup almost everyday hahaha.

A couple weekends ago we hit up a farmer's market stand and got the most delicious blueberries. My husband being curious contacted them and the next day was on a tour of their farm. LOL He and Jonathan picked a couple buckets of blueberries.

This is what my kitchen looked like for most of the weekend seeing as though he went out again the next day!!!

There were even blueberries still in the bucket and at the bar.

We picked stems, washed, dried, and bagged to put in the freezer.

Have I mentioned we have several blueberry bushes in our backyard...filled with berries!
Look at all those berries!
We're still waiting for the rest to ripen.

(excuse Reagan's bangs, we are growing them out so we can pin them to the side)

Our mama cat had kittens Memorial Day weekend.

Here is the most recent shot, all of their eyes are open and they're a little more mobile now.
It is difficult to see the black one, but it is adorable and so fluffy!

I hope y'all have an awesome weekend!
I was hoping to hit some yard sales, but we have to be somewhere in the A.M. so maybe we'll check out the flea market instead.

He did make about 5 gallons of blueberry wine though. (not stomping on them LOL)
He got promoted to SSGT, I did a post on some time ago before he deployed. He sewed on in Feb.

Michele,
great to see you back! Sounds like things are going well! Nothing better then fresh blueberries, looks like you'll have enough for quite a while! The kiddos are adorable as always! Your bedroom is lovely, you did a fab job on it. I've slowed down blogging the past couple of months, alot going on. Aaron got out and home the beginning of May, been so nice to have him back, also been helping my daughter get ready for a new arrival end of July. Haven't blogged about it yet but will soon. In the meantime, will be blogging on and off till after the baby (a girl) gets here.
Will be visiting!

Oh Michelle, I LOVE blueberries! I'll be right over to help you take care of that excess blueberry problem you have. :-) Plus I want to see those sweet kittens! I hope you'll show us a picture of your new dress and hairstyle.
