My new roos

I've been sorting through halloween decorations. Trying to decide what to put out front and what to use for Jonathan's birthday party. I'm going to wait until after my inlaws leave to decorate for halloween inside.

So over the weekend I told yall I went to one of my favorite antique shops.
I showed ya'll one of the roosters I got on my fall porch well the other is inside guarding the kitchen.

I saw him and instantly had to have him. I walked up to Miss Amy (the lady who owns the shop) with him tucked in my arms!
See my little rooster and hen painting, TJ Maxx! There were several others but I liked this one most.
I tucked him behind my canisters to see how I like it. I have always felt this spot was so bare and I think its because I can't paint.

Up close of painting.

from a distance.

I was thinking of adding the picture above the stove.

See my super stinkin cute halloween apron hanging beside the fridge.
I got it off of etsy a couple months ago!
You can find it here. (I looked and the shop is closed until the 13th.)

Close up of my painting again.

Have a fantastic day!
Michele

Love your new roo, and that apron is darling. I think the painting would look great behind the stove.

Your rooster is very cute and looks great in your kitchen! I like your painting too, I think it would look nice over the stove. I know what you mean about not painting...we did but I am not looking forward to painting it all back when we move! Did you add the knobs to the cabinets? Thanks so much for stopping by my blog and for your sweet comments! Have a great evening!

I know this is about your roosters, but I am in love with your runner and the gorgeous apron!!! How totally flirty and kicky is that! I think a painting above your stove would be awesome, of course it should be a rooster!! :)! Sorry you can't paint, dang it! Your hubby is off in some awful place and you can't paint...I say military wives should be able to paint any color they want!!! I am writing the White House, there should be an amendment or something :)

Michele,
Glad you got your comments working, mine are too, thank goodness! Love all your fall touches, very cute! your new Roo is fab, so is that cute little painting. I like it where it is, adds a pop of color, but you do need something over the stove. Maybe something a little bigger with more of a rectangle shape then square or maybe a pair or even a set of 3 things. What ever you decide, I know it will look great!

Such a cute painting and new rooster for your kitchen! I really like the colors in that painting too. It would look perfect above your stove. I would just be careful of grease getting on it though. I spied a "pure butter" dish in your kitchen too which I LOVE! You're lucky to have one of those!

Michele,
I've downloaded G chrome but found this on another blog, www.elizabethandco.blogspot.com Tues, 10/4/2011 and am going to try it. She was having the same problem and was told to do this and now it works. 1.open internet explorer 2. go to tools menu 3. internet options 4. privacy tab 5.sites button 6. type in: www.blogger.com and www.blogspot.com 7.click allow 8.click ok 9. click apply. Said it fixed her problem.
